Calawanyah Project - Hamersley Basin Pilbara Craton
The Calawanyah project (ELA47/1317) is located in the northern part of the Hamersley Range approximately 100 km
north of Tom Price. The tenement application is centred over an air photo feature of altered ferruginised material. A similar anomaly approximately three kilometres south east of this anomaly has reportedly yielded two diamonds, and numbers of chromite, picro-ilmenite pyrope garnet and chrome diopside from drill material (refer to the Independent Geologists Report). Once this tenement is granted, the anomaly on Gemstar’s ground will be geologically mapped and sampled.
